Either Electro Mechanical type where the diaphragm is deflected by a moving magnet which is triggered by a make and break contactor or the Piezo type where the diaphragm is controlled by an electronic circuit.  The mechanical versions offer medium/high dB output with low frequency sound and are of robust construction.

Applications
Piezo buzzers are relatively low dB and high frequency and are only suitable for local signaling applications.  Both Flat Top or Trumpet Top buzzers and high output buzzers are ideal for security, automotive and industrial signaling applications.

AE30M Flat Top and Trumpet Top Industrial Buzzer Series

The AE30M flat top and trumpet top miniature buzzers produce a rich, low frequency sound, ideal for security, automotive and industrial signaling. Using a traditional buzzer mechanism, the AE30M buzzers produce a high quality sound compared with most piezo based products. The compact design and convenient fixing hole allow for easy installation in all locations. The units are colour coded by voltage: Black are 12V DC; Red are 24V DC.
