Moflash Xenon Beacons

Xenon beacons are still playing an important role in the signalling industry. Signals using incandescent, or filament lamps are now being replaced by the more versatile and cost effective LED signals, but the xenon or strobe beacon still accounts for a large proportion of sales.

The great thing about Moflash Xenon beacons is that units can be used in a variety of applications, both indoors and external - from an indicator on a machine to warn the operator of a process change or impending problem, to an isolated pumping station in the back of beyond. The products are used in Fire, Marine, EXD, industrial and process control industries to name but a few and can be seen in every workplace in every country.

The Moflash Xenon range offers a choice of a wide range of voltages, colours and outputs from 1 joules to 24 joules - and maybe just as important, a wide range of cost options.

How does a Xenon work?

They work via a discharge capacitor operating through a converter circuit which ignites xenon gas inside a tube, creating a brilliant flash of light. Xenon gas ignites virtually instantaneously so maximum brightness is obtained immediately.

An IP67 compact, economical beacon, fully assembled and ready for immediate installation operating through a wide voltage range. This unit offers two mounting options, either stud mount or surface mount using the two piece fixing plate supplied.	An IP65, 2-2.7 Joule Xenon beacon, giving 360º light output. It is suitable for surface mounting or for use with a conduit BESA box and an optional wall bracket & protective cage guard are also available.	An IP65, 10 Joule Industrial Xenon beacon, giving 360º light output it also offers the choice of a single or double flash operation, a diode polarised version is available for fire alarm systems.
